1975 สำเร็จการศึกษาจากสถาบันโพลีเทคนิคเซนต์ปีเตอร์สเบิร์ก (Leningrad Polytechnic Institute) หลังจากนั้นได้เข้าทำงานที่ภาควิชาฟิสิกที่สถาบันแห่งนี้
1995 พัฒนาอุปกรณ์ Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) ซึ่งพัฒนามาจาก Kirlian Photography
1998 ก่อตั้งสถาบันเทคโนโลยีเคอร์เลี่ยนKirlionics Technologies International (ktispb.ru) โดยเขาเป็นประธาน
2001 ได้รับตำแหน่งประธานของ International Union of Medical and Applied Bioelectrography (IUMAB) ในการประชุมครั้งที่ 5 ที่บราซิล และได้เลือกให้ดำรงตำแหน่งต่อในปี 2005 และ 2010
