เจียง เจ๋อหมิน (江泽民)   เลขาธิการพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีน 1989-2002, ประธานาธิบดีคนที่ 5 ปี 1993-2003 เจียง เกิดวันที่ 17 สิงหาคม 1926 ในหยางโจว, มณฑลเจียงซู (Yangzhou, Jiangsu) พ่อของเขาื่อว่า เจียง ชีจุน (Jiang Shijun) และแม่ชื่อหวัง เจหลาน (Wang Zhelan) ช่วงที่เจียงเกิดเป็นช่วงเวลาที่ญี่ปุ่นเข้ามายึดครองดินแดนหลายส่วนในประเทศจีน พ่อของเจียงรับราชการอยู่ในนานกิง ซึ่งในเวลานั้นอยู่ใต้การปกครองโดยญี่ปุ่น โดยที่พ่อของเจียงนั้นได้ตัดความสัมพันธ์กับครอบครัว เจียง เติบโตขึ้นมาโดยได้รับการดูแลจากลุงของเขา ชื่อ เจียง ชางฉิง (江上青) ซึ่งเป็นทหารและเป็นสมาชิกพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์ 1937 สงครามญี่ปุ่น-จีน ครั้งที่ 2 (2nd Sino-Japanese War, 1937-1945) 1939 เจียง ชางฉิง ลุงของเจียง เสียชีวิตระหว่างการต่อสู้กับญี่ปุ่น  หลังจากลุงเสียชีวิตแล้วเจียงมีความเป้นอยู่ที่ค่อนข้างยากลำบาก แม้ว่าพ่อที่แท้จริงของเขาจะมีฐานะที่ร่ำรวย แต่ว่าก็ไม่เคยกลับมาให้ความช่วยเหลือ…
